Pastors' Perspectives on Accompanying Young People
This resource was created through a consultative process with Gen-Z Latinos and pastoral ministers that work with them. It includes common experiences of adolescents, and jóvenes (single young adults 18 to 29 years old) Instituto Fe y Vida works with nationwide.
The document has three goals:
• To offer pastors, ministers and parents, a view of the way many Latino young people experience the world and their joys, sorrows, hopes, and challenges.
• To foster a reflection and a more informative pastoral response that helps facilitate a profound sense of community for young Latinos in their families and parishes.
• To encourage deeper listening and accompaniment of adolescents and jóvenes through open and honest conversations.

Pastors' Perspectives on Accompanying Young People
Through the Accompaniment Project, NFCYM concluded that understanding the pastor’s viewpoint is crucial, especially when it comes to creating a shift toward accompaniment practices and mindsets required by all those in parish leadership: pastors, ministry leaders, leadership entities, and the faith community. As a result, NFCYM has funded this qualitative Study on Pastors’ Perspectives on Accompanying Youth and Young Adults as part of the Accompaniment Research Study
